Abstract:
Over the past decade Canadian agribusiness began to diversify itself from its traditional commodity base. In addition to the growth in export markets and types of products being exported, some of this diversification can be seen in production trends in western Canada, long regarded as a wheat and barley growing area, and a move toward horticultural production in the area of Ontario between the Great Lakes.
