Abstract: The livestock industry in India has been witnessing significant growth. The Compound Livestock Feed Manufacturers Association (CLFMA) of India estimates that India will produce 180 million tonnes of milk, 108 billion eggs and 11 million tonnes of meat per annum by 2020 from the current level of 100 million tonnes of milk, 47 billion eggs and 5 million tonnes of meat.
