Abstract: The total value of United States (U.S.) berry production amounted to USD 2.7 billion in 2006, representing approximately 7 percent of total U.S. fruit and vegetable revenues. With a production volume of 2.4 billion pounds in 2006, the strawberry is the largest berry segment in the U.S. Other key varieties include blueberries, raspberries, and cranberries.
