Abstract: Citrus production in the United States (U.S.) is dominated by Florida and California. In a normal year, these two states account for approximately 75 percent and 20 percent of U.S. citrus production, respectively. However, as these states have distinctly different growing climates, Florida produces primarily for the processing market, while California concentrates on fresh production.
