Abstract: The accession of Romania and Bulgaria to the European Union (EU) will mark the end of the union’s enlargement process, at least for the time being. Although the accession of both countries will have a limited impact on the overall economy of the EU, both countries’ considerable agricultural resources mean that in many food & agribusiness (food & agri) sectors, both in Europe and beyond, the impact of their entry will not go unnoticed.
