Abstract: Argentina’s agribusiness industry continues to grow intensively. The processed sector had increased by 8 percent in 2005 and by approximately 7 percent year over year (YOY) during the first six months of 2006.This growth is mainly explained by an increase in oilseed, animal protein and dairy exports. The performance of production agriculture during 2005 has also been outstanding, showing an 11 percent increase mainly due to the expansion in soybean production.
