Abstract: The agribusiness supply chain in Canada includes input suppliers (feed, fertilizer, genetics, pharmaceuticals) and the food processing segment (livestock slaughter and meat processing, dairy processing, fruit and vegetable processing, and grains and oilseeds processing).As an indication of its size, total sales by food manufacturers were CAD 63.4 billion in 2002, and food manufacturers alone employed 243,800 people.
