Abstract: Globally, the consumption pattens for grains are changing. Grain consumption is reaching maturity in many traditional markets such as Australia, the United States and the European Union while other non-traditional consumers of grain products are gradually increasing their consumption as per capita incomes rise. Being responsive to these changes in consumption patterns is essential if the Australian grain sector is to remain relevant in export markets.
