Abstract: Poultry meat is the fastest growing animal protein in India. It has grown at a CAGR of 12% in the last 11 years and is expected to continue growing at similar rates in the near future. Key factors influencing growth in poultry consumption include:
– India’s large and growing population – India has the second largest population base of 1.02 billion people in the world, which is growing at 1.5% per annum. The population is expected to reach 1.29 billion by 2020;
