Abstract: It is common knowledge that the Netherlands leads the international flower bulb sector. The country not only accounts for the majority of global production; with a share of 93%, it absolutely dominates world trade. Recent figures reveal, however, that after years of continuous growth, the export value of bulbs from the Netherlands is diminishing.
