Abstract: Higher returns have stimulated farmers to expand grain and oilseed acreage worldwide, and weather conditions have been favorable for the current crops in most of the Northern Hemisphere. Yields close to or above average levels during the 2004/05 Crop Year (CY) in the major producing areas have increased global supply of corn, wheat, soybeans and canola relative to the previous CY.
