Abstract: High crude oil prices, environmental concerns, the increasing U.S. trade deficit and strong political support continue to paint a positive scenario for the biofuel sector in the U.S. The Energy Bill, approved by the Congress, increases the mandatory use of biofuels from five to 7.5 billion gallons by 2012, and will guarantee continuous expansion in biofuel production for the coming years.
